Certificates of insurance and W-9s are business records. Here’s how TradeOwed keeps them private.
Private storage
Files are kept in private storage, in a folder that belongs to your company. They’re never public, and they open only through signed links that expire within minutes.
Companies kept apart
Every record belongs to one company account, and the database itself refuses to show it to anyone outside that account. This is enforced by the database, not just by the app.
No tax IDs pulled out
W-9s are stored as files only. TradeOwed never reads or saves the numbers on them and never sends W-9s to the AI.
Links you control
Links to GCs work for 30 days and upload links to subs for 14 days. Each is unique, and only a scrambled version of it is stored.
Files are checked
Uploads are checked by their actual contents, not just their names, and limited in size. Only PDFs and images are accepted.
Activity log
Uploads, sends, views, approvals and changes are recorded with who made them and when.
Card details stay with Stripe
Payments are handled by Stripe. TradeOwed never sees or stores your card number.
Your data, your exit
Owners and admins can export every record and file at any time, including after cancelling.
